Rock Band
June 23rd, 2008
Summer is here.
The days of endless phone calls. Worry. What are they doing?
I am not the most productive worker in the summer months. I thought it would be easier when they were older. There is a huge comfort factor when you drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.
Now we are driving all over town on a little silver bikes. We keep in touch via cellphone. Sounds like a plan, I know they are not always where they claim. “The Moms” have a network. If we see a kid out and about where they don’t seem to belong. We call each other. Not perfect but keeps my stealth mom-powers in synch. Added benefit of the 2 - they tattle on each other.
Today it is raining. The bikes are here. They are playing Rock Band. 4 boys all age 13. I got the call at my office, can Jimmy, Danny and Jon come in. Against the rules, but these are the neighborhood boys. We have a history and I am home by 3:00.

I think any future in the music business is history. The endless tapping of the drum sticks. Voices that are changing don’t make for good vocals.
Mississippi Queen — use to be a favorite?
